Surrounding Area

The Municipality of Son Servera consists of the village of the same name and the coastal resorts of Cala Millor, Cala Bona and Costa de Los Pinos and is situated in the Levante area of Mallorca, nestled between the Serra de Levant mountains and the east coast. It offers a multitude of possibilities for tourism all year round.

Cala Millor boasts a three kilometres long beach of white sand where it is possible to relax to the sound of the tranquil and transparent Mediterranean Sea lapping the shore, or for the more energetic travellerer it is possible to engage in a whole host of different activities, including cycling, tennis and golf.

Cala Bona, once a small fishing village has a charm all of its own and still has its authentic harbour where today leisure craft and small Mallorcan fishing boats (llauts) bob around on the quiet harbour waters. There is a small beach to soak up the sun during the day, but Cala Bona really comes into its own in the warm balmy Mediterranean evenings when you can experience its unique atmosphere while enjoying a special meal or a just a drink in one of its harbourside bars and restaurants.

Costa de los Pinos, Costa de San Jordi is a mountain range with overhanging cliffs and a multitude of small bays (calas) like Sa Marjal or Es Rajoli. These are perfect for a peaceful laze in the sun and the waters here are excellent for diving and snorkelling.

Son Servera is a traditional Mallorcan village characterized bry its main square Placa de Sant Joan with its church of the same name, complete with the original defence tower of the former country estate of Frau Gari. Here we can also find an unfinished second church called SĀ“Eglesia Nova (New Church) designed by Joan Rubi who formed part of Antonio GaudiĀ“s Architectural Office. On examining this carefully, you will find many typical traits of this famous Catalan Architect.

Exploring the area around Son Servera you will find many historical country estates, now converted into Agroturism Hotels and also the remains of the Talaiotic Village Na Gatura.

A moderate climate and beautiful countryside and coastline make Son Servera an ideal spot for outdoor activities or complete relaxation, a first class tourist location.
